What you've seen above are guidelines established by ODE for Ohio School Districts to use as they make their own transitional plans to design and implement the new 2010 Ohio State Standards.
What Should Districts Do Now?—Become familiar with:— Common Core State Standards for Lang. Arts & Math— Revised standards for Social Studies and Science —Model curricula for each. —Assure that all students have access to high quality instruction and challenging curriculum. —Develop support structures for struggling students. —Watch for new opportunities and resources. —Be skeptical of easy alignment and quick fixes.
